Thornwood Open House tonight- September 10th from 5:00-6:30pm. At 5:00 we will start our meeting with our Title 1 presentation and important information about Thornwood. We will also hear from our PTA. At 5:30 families will visit classrooms. We hope to see all of our families as this night will be informative and very important for the success of your student.

Starting Monday August 31st we will start counting tardies. Your student is tardy if they are not in their classroom by 7:50. Our doors open at 7:25 and they will close at 7:50. Reminder breakfast doors close at 7:40. If your child is not in their classroom by 7:50 please make sure you walk them into the office as they will need a parent or guardian to sign them in. Attendance is a taken at 9:30 each morning, please make sure if you have an appointment that must be done during the day, you make it after 9:30 am., that way your student will not be counted absent.
This year we are excited to be celebrating those students with no tardies or absences, every 4 1/2 weeks. They will be invited to a "PPP- Punctual and Present Party" with Mrs. Houston and Mrs. Lim the last 20 mintues of the school day. Our first PPP will be on September 21st, so make sure your students are not tardy or absent from August 31st to September 21st so they can be invited to the 1st Punctual and Present Party with the Principals.
